  • JoinNexora ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use joinnexora.in and our related services.
  • By using JoinNexora, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Resume Data: When you upload your resume, we extract and store the text content to provide ATS analysis, skill detection, job matching, and AI-powered career guidance. We store only the text, not the original PDF file permanently.
  • Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage information such as pages visited, features used, and session duration to improve the platform. This data cannot identify you individually.
  • Device and Browser Information: We collect browser type, device type, and IP address for security purposes and to prevent fraudulent access.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • We use your data to provide ATS scoring, skill analysis, and career intelligence features; generate AI-powered resume improvements and career roadmaps; match your profile to relevant job listings; send transactional emails such as password reset links and account notifications; improve platform reliability and performance; respond to support requests and resolve issues; and comply with legal obligations.
  • We do not use your data to fabricate skills, experience, or achievements; submit job applications without your action; build advertising profiles; or sell to third parties.

4. AI and OpenAI Disclosure

  • JoinNexora uses OpenAI's API to power AI features including resume rewriting, career guidance, and job match explanations.
  • When you use AI-powered features, relevant portions of your resume text are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI does not retain this data to train their models under their standard API data usage policy.
  • We do not send your name, email address, or contact details to OpenAI. Only the professional content of your resume is processed by AI features.

5. Data Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform.
  • These service providers include OpenAI for AI processing of resume text only; Resend for email delivery using your email address only; Vercel for frontend hosting; Render for backend hosting; PostgreSQL on Render for data storage; and Adzuna or Remotive for job data APIs, where no personal data is shared.
  • All service providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

6. Your Rights Under DPDP Act 2023

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
  • Right to Correction: You can request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to Erasure: You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
  • Right to Grievance Redressal: You can raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer if you believe your data rights have been violated.
  • Right to Nominate: You may nominate another person to exercise your data rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

7. Cookies

  • JoinNexora uses essential cookies only. Session cookies keep you logged in during your session and are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Authentication tokens are stored in your browser's local storage to maintain your login state securely.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.

8. Data Security

  • We protect your data using HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, bcrypt hashing for all passwords, PostgreSQL databases with restricted access, environment-based secret management with no credentials in source code, and regular security reviews.
  • Passwords are never stored in plain text.
  • Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. We will notify you promptly if a data breach affects your personal information.

9. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
  • Resume data is retained while your account is active to power features and deleted with your account on request.
  • Support tickets are retained for 12 months to help us improve the platform.
  • Usage logs are anonymised after 90 days.
  • Password reset tokens automatically expire after 1 hour and are purged weekly.

10. Children's Privacy

  • JoinNexora is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
  • If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, contact us immediately at hello@joinnexora.in and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
